Stroom is an independent brewery located in Ghent, founded by a Belgian-American duo. They combine traditional craftsmanship with modern innovations in their beers. But they don't just brew – they weave art, innovation, and community into every beer they make.

From brewing with 100% renewable energy to collaborations with neighbors, artists, and other partners: at Stroom, they ensure that their values align with those of their community.

Although one comes from America and the other from Belgium, the story of Stroom began more than ten years ago in Kyrgyzstan, where the two founders met. Years later, Farrell's brewing experience and love for craft beer, combined with Carl's background as a lifelong Ghent resident and entrepreneur, brought them together to start a brewery in Ghent.

Farrell's birthplace in Colorado is named after the confluence of the Colorado and Grand rivers. Coincidentally, Ghent is also named after the confluence of two rivers, one of which flows past the brewery. This special connection inspired us to the name Stroom – a place where creativity and connection come together.
