From now on, Brouwerij De Koperen Markies also uses the Groene Bel hop variety for the production of Blond 8. This hop variety comes from the Asse-Aalst hop region and was long thought lost. This hop variety was particularly appreciated in the past because of the large amount of lupulin (bitter substances) that this hop variety contains. In earlier times this allowed beer to be stored for longer. ⁠

Groene Bel also has a specific, fruity and floral aroma that gives our beer a nice, very unique taste. ⁠

This beer is brewed in the DKM Belgian Brewery 's own facilities.
