Tongsneyder

“Goud” Blonde beer of top fermentation with an alcohol content of 8.5% Alc. Full.
Ingredients: brewing water, malt, hops, yeast, heather, birch leaf, hibiscus, juniper berry, elderflower, wound clover and primrose blossom.

The "Tongsneyders", a gang of robbers that was active at the end of the 18th century. They had their hiding place on the Kesterheide in Gooik. From here they made the surrounding villages and towns unsafe.

The Tongsneyders struck without pity...
They cut out the tongues of their victims to ensure silence around the gang.

Part of the profit goes to Natuurpunt Pajottenland and Paddenbroek to help finance the maintenance of the hiking trail network in an ecologically responsible manner.
