Brewery De Poes – artisanal Belgian beer with character

Brewery De Poes is a Belgian microbrewery from Tielt with a passion for traditional brewing methods and local ingredients. The name De Poes is a playful nod to the favorite pet of founder Stijn David, who combines his love for craft beer with craftsmanship and creativity. 

The brewery produces a wide range of quality beers under its own labels, including classics like De Poes Blond, De Poes Speciale Belge and De Poes Bruin, as well as experimental variants such as De Poes Foncée (whiskey-infused) and De Poes Stowt (stout). All beers are brewed with Belgian barley and hops, including hops from Poperinge, which provides a distinctive fruity and bitter profile. 

Since its start in 2014, De Poes has built its own microbrewery in Tielt, while brewing is also continued together with Deca Services NV in Woesten. The brewery remains faithful to slow brewing and traditional fermentation, respecting old recipes and modern knowledge, resulting in artisanal beers with character and complexity. 

Visitors are welcome to explore the brewery through tours and tastings, where the story behind the beers and the brewing process is further explored.
