Stout Mokke – Naughty Imperial Stout from Borgerhout

Stout Mokke, the darkest masterpiece of Bieren Cabardouche in Antwerp, is a powerful Imperial / Export Stout (±9% ABV) with a ruby black color and a silky, creamy foam head. 

In the glass, the aromas of espresso, dark chocolate and roasted malt are discernible, while the taste opens with intense mocha and cocoa notes. A subtle acidity balances the richness, making the beer surprisingly easy to drink despite its fullness. Finally, a mild bitterness lingers for a long time.

Brewed with only water, malt, hops and yeast, Stout Mokke retains its purity and character. The addition of oats provides that velvety mouthfeel, without unnecessary embellishments.
