BOM stands for Belgian Original Maltbakery & Brewery — and that "bakery" is no coincidence. Brewmaster Bert Van Hecke bakes his own malt in a converted coffee roastery, tailored to each beer. For the Triporteur From Hell, the malts are hellishly roasted and toasted until they have exactly the character this dark beer needs. A unique approach you won’t find anywhere else. 

The result evokes chocolate, caramel, freshly brewed coffee, and freshly baked bread. The wheat malt provides a healthy light haze and a full, smooth body. Bitterness is traditionally achieved with East Kent Golding and Styrian Golding — two classic hop varieties that beautifully support the roasted depth without overpowering. And there’s something special: the flavor continues to evolve in the bottle. This beer rewards patience. 

The Triporteur From Hell is a beer that suits dark evenings and slow moments. Powerful in character, but never clumsy — a West Flemish dark ale that proudly carries its devilish name.

Excellent with pure chocolate, a cheese platter with aged soft cheeses, or as a companion to a stew made with dark beer.
