Vals Meesterke – Dark imperial porter full of roasted flavors

Vals Meesterke is an impressive Imperial Porter from Brouwerij De Meester, with a strong alcohol content of 9% ABV and a deep, almost black color. 

In the glass, this robust beer develops a dark brown foam head and an aroma that invites tasting: think of roasted malt, toasted chocolate, and hints of coffee.  The flavor opens rich and full with roasted, slightly sweet notes of burnt malt, coffee, and sweet chocolate, followed by a spicy but pleasantly smoky finish typical of a powerful porter.
