Kasteel Rouge – ruby red fruit beer from Van Honsebrouck

Kasteel Rouge is a red classic from the Kasteel line of Brouwerij Van Honsebrouck, known for its rich fruity aromas and elegant depth. This Belgian fruit beer (8% ABV) is brewed by combining the base quadrupel Kasteel Donker with real Oblacinska cherries, resulting in a ruby red beer with a soft, velvety texture. 

In the glass, the beer shines with an intense ruby red color and a fine, pink foam head. On the nose and palate, the sweet, ripe cherries dominate, subtly balanced by a light acidity and dry finish — creating a complex yet accessible flavor profile. 

Thanks to the perfect harmony between sweet fruit and soft maltiness, Kasteel Rouge is ideal as an aperitif on a sunny terrace, but also pairs well with desserts or light cheese platters.
