    Winter Zjef – Seasonal stout with winter allure

    Meet Winter Zjef, the exclusive winter version of the well-known Zwarte Zjef stout from Brewery ’t Paenhuys in Nieuwkerken-Waas. This rich stout (9% ABV) appears only once a year and each time offers a new twist on the original recipe. 

    In the glass, Winter Zjef shows itself in deep burgundy black with a creamy, dark foam layer. The taste opens with the familiar panorama of roasted malt, coffee, and dark chocolate, after which a subtle winter spiciness or special addition makes the variant unique.  Due to limited availability, Winter Zjef quickly becomes a collector’s item, ideal to enjoy in these colder months or to save for a later uncorking.

    Winter Zjef is the perfect companion for misty evenings, savory dishes such as game, or a board of aged cheeses – a stout that offers both comfort and character.
