Collection: The Musketeers
Brewery The Musketeers was founded in 1999 by 4 brewing engineers. Brewing beer was the hobby and passion of these four comrades. Their first brews were developed in the kitchen of Kristof's mother.
The brewery's first beer was a blonde beer which they named Musketier.
However, this name was already registered, so a new name was sought. Then Troubadour Blond saw the light in 1999.
The beer was enjoyed by beer lovers and step by step the transition was made from hobby to business.
From their home base in Ursel (Aalter), where Kristof lives and has lost his heart, Brewery The Musketeers continued to build their story. Gradually, the Troubadour beers conquered the Belgian and foreign markets. Two years later, in 2001, the dark brother followed: Troubadour Obscura. In 2010, the brewers launched their third beer: the Belgian tripel IPA Troubadour Magma.
After winning the World Beer Cup with Troubadour Blond in 2010, Ursel suddenly became world-famous.
More than 20 years later, two of the founders - Stefaan Soetemans and Kristof De Roo - are still at the helm of this Belgian independent brewery, which has grown into a brewery respected and renowned for its new style Belgian beers.
Due to strong growth and the realization of their ultimate dream (brewing beers in their own professional brewery!), Brewery The Musketeers ended up in 2019 in Sint-Gillis-Waas, their new home base and close to Stefaan's "Heimat".
Thus the circle is complete and the brewery keeps running at full speed!
