"The primary brews were made in deglazed boilers behind a haze of malt vapor, but the condensation made it too wet underfoot: so we moved. From room to shack: the new location became the garage. We left in slightly less deglazed boilers and in a clean setup. for a whole series of new experiments, some accidents here and there, but the beer flowed in the right direction and solid recipes were created. Tasting became more fun. But solid material is needed for a stable product, hence an upgrade to a real brewery on a micro scale.

This is how the Keet opened, was licensed and officially in order. Integrated in-house, with unwritten approval from the brewer's wife. Our location in Baasrode and the street name inevitably brought us into shipping waters. But the ships and their names also have a lot to do with a personal interest of the brewer himself. With the wind in our sails and sailing forward: on to a sea of good brews."
