Collection: Boelens Brewery

The Boelens family has its origins in Lokeren, where Brouwerij/Mouterij Boelens was founded around 1864. In Belsele, about ten kilometers from Lokeren, the De Meester family owned the De Valk brewery. These two families therefore founded the De Meester-Boelens brewery at the current location. The World Wars stopped the production of beer, but beer and lemonade were still bottled and distributed in its own cafes. In 1978 Kris Boelens took over this trade and reintroduced beer brewing in Belsele. In 2016, son Yannick Boelens also joined the brewery.
