Waaslander – Blonde beer with a fresh Wase touch

Waaslander, a blonde wheat beer from Brouwerij Boelens uit Belsele, was created in 2005 on the occasion of 50 years of Toerisme Waasland. Since then, it remains a regionally connected classic. 

• Color & taste: This yellow-gold tinted barley beer, with a touch of wheat, has a refreshing citrus note thanks to finely selected hop varieties.

• Technique: Bottle-conditioned and brewed since 2005, which provides a full flavor experience full of nuance.

• Aroma & mouthfeel: Aromatic with notes of peach, apricot, and citrus, followed by a soft malt flavor with light bitterness and a spicy undertone. The body is medium, the texture creamy, and the aftertaste refined – surprising for a blonde beer.

In short: Waaslander is an accessible and flavorful blonde beer with local roots and a fruity-hoppy elegance – ideal to enjoy on a sunny terrace or with light dishes such as salads, poultry, or white fish.

This beer is brewed in the own facilities at Brouwerij Boelens.
