Flora Sour Cherry

Sour, fruity, and surprisingly honest. Beer as nature intended.

The Flora Sour Cherry is named after the Flora district in Merelbeke, where De Wilde Brouwers found their home in a former shoe factory. All beers are brewed there with purified rainwater, collected from the roofs and purified to be purer than spring water using reverse osmosis technology. Malt and hops are organic and at least 99% sourced from EU agriculture. The philosophy is as clear as the water: beer with substance, brewed with respect for the planet. 

In the glass appears a deep burgundy-red beer with a fresh, lively appearance. The nose is direct and honest: real sour cherries, earthy and floral at the same time. On the tongue follows a pleasant acidity — fresh and thirst-quenching, with the authentic taste of ripe Morello cherries that never feels artificial.

This is the ideal beer for those who love sours but don’t want a knockout. Low in alcohol, high in character — perfect as an aperitif or a snack on a sunny terrace.

Serve well chilled in a wine glass for maximum aroma development, or pair with soft goat cheese and fresh sourdough bread.
