Jack's Precious IPA

When the Ghent Zoo closed its doors in 1904, Jack the Asian elephant was sold to the Ghent yeast marketer Siske. He wanted to sell the animal in England, but that plan failed. Ultimately, the poor elephant ended up in a Dutch sausage factory. It is still not entirely clear whether Jack was really reduced to sausage. What is clear: the legend of Jack is talking. For decades. And that is what the new bitter India Pale Ale from brewery The Musketeers aims to do: get people talking.

Jack’s Precious IPA is a distinctive India Pale Ale, brewed as a true IPA according to The Musketeers should be: balanced yet different. It is a refreshing and lightly drinkable tasting beer with an alcohol content of 5.9%. Jack’s Precious IPA has the character of a floral bouquet with a citrus accent. The beer tastes softly fruity and creamy. The bitterness of the floral and spicy hops is not overpowering. The beer has a pale golden color with a snow-white foam head that lingers like a silky rim after tasting. The flavor of Jack’s Precious IPA was developed together with the team from the Gollem specialty beer cafés in Amsterdam and Antwerp, pioneers of Belgian specialty beer in the Netherlands.
